Cold Modeling and Hot Unit Design
Designed cold model fluidization column to investigate feasibility of utilizing a fluidized bed for a high-temperature thermochemical conversion process. The proposed concept incorporates the introduction of slurry feeds directly into the bed for process intensification. Experimental campaigns were conducted to assess fluidization quality and characteristics such as bed expansion, attrition, and management of fines. Inhouse fluidization expertise used to design high-temperature unit for test stand process validation and proof of concept.
